The products and services section allows you to add all of your products and services as they will appear on invoices, receipts, and estimates.
To add your first product or service, click Add Item.
To add a septic pump job, for example, enter the item name in the Name field.
If it’s a Pump Job, like in this case, click the Pump Job checkbox.
The job code field allows you to enter the abbreviation of your choice that will appear on the schedule to inform you of what needs to be done in a concise way.
Here, an existing schedule displays several job codes: S indicates a septic tank pump job, “H” indicates a Holding tank pump job, and G indicates a grease trap cleaning.
You may enter one or two characters in the job code field. The first character must be a capital letter. The optional second character can be a lower case letter or any number zero through nine.
Enter the default price in the price field and this product or service is now all set.
Be sure to save changes before leaving this page.
You may add as many products and services as you wish.
After you’ve added a few more entries, your list may look something like this: SEE VIDEO
You can organize your list by dragging and dropping into your preferred order.
The order in which you list your products and services on this page will be the exact order in which they appear in the drop-down menu when you’re making an appointment.
Remember to click Save Changes before you leave.
Additional Tips: This section enables you to enter every product and service you offer along with default prices for each. We recommend using language that will be meaningful to you and understandable to your customers as these descriptions will appear on your invoices and receipts.
If the service involves pumping any tank of any kind, you MUST check off the "PUMP JOB?" checkbox and add a job code. This will instruct Tank Track to provide a field to enter the pump volume and help Tank Track to predict when your truck will need to be emptied as you plan your daily routes.
The third column is reserved for Job Codes. The job codes you enter here will appear on each appointment on the day and weekly schedules so you can tell at a glance what each job entails without having to open each individual invoice. Job codes are your friends. Please use them!
To edit or delete any product or service, bring your mouse or finger to the right of any line and an EDIT and DELETE option will appear. Be sure to SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the page when you are done! There is no practical limit to how many products and services you may enter.
