Global Document Center

Updated over 2 months ago

Tank Track’s Global Document Center provides administrators in your company with the ability to upload any Word, Excel, or PDF file to your company’s dashboard page, where any user with access to the dashboard can download the documents from any location at any time.

Providing Fill-able forms and Reference Documents

For instance, you can create a custom, inspection report or any other custom form as a fill-able PDF or Word document, and then upload it to the Global Document Center.

All of your custom forms would then be downloadable by your tablet-equipped technicians in the field. Each form, once complete, can then be uploaded into the invoice’s document gallery for permanent storage and as a potential email attachment for sending to the customer.

Every uploaded document becomes a permanent part of the job and property history and is stored on our server and available for download and review at any time.

You may also like to make excerpts of certain local, state, or federal regulations or a copy of your disaster plan all readily available for review in the field.

Using the new Global Document Center

Login to Tank Track, go to Settings, then select Global Document Center from the menu on the left.

Now click the activation checkbox in Section 1 and click SAVE.

Then browse your files to select files/documents that you would like to make available on your company’s dashboard.

Note the various actions you can take in the screen capture below:

You can also edit the file names after upload by clicking the document name and making your changes and then clicking away.

To delete a previously uploaded file, mouse over and click the “X” in the right-hand corner.

Once documents are uploaded, go to your dashboard (by clicking your company name in the upper right-hand corner of your screen) and you will see the uploaded files available for download in the center of your screen.

Note: if you are uploading Word or Excel or PDF documents, your tablet users will have to have Word or Excel or an appropriate PDF reader or other program installed on their tablets to open, edit, and save these files.
