Add a Waste Site

Updated over 2 months ago

Adding a new waste site to the system is easy. Tank Track supports septic companies delivering waste to a single processing facility or to dozens of facilities or even hundreds of farm fields.

Begin by going to the “Waste Sites” tab and clicking “Add Waste Site.”

On the left side, click or tap Add New Contact and fill in the contact name, company name, and billing address fields along with all known contact information.

Be sure to enter an email address, if available.

Now move to the right side of the page to enter the facility name and physical address.

Specify whether this is a waste facility or an agricultural site.

Click SAVE CHANGES.

Now enter the location’s state license number and permit, if available.

If your waste site is a waste facility, the completed page may look something like this: SEE VIDEO

Display your Waste Site on Google Maps

In the middle of the waste site page, you will find a "Menu Listing Position" option with two radio buttons.

To display a given waste site on Tank Track's routing page, be sure to choose "PIN TO TOP" for this setting. (Don't ask, it's a long story:)

Additional Tips

For Waste facilities, please enter the full facility name, which will appear in your pump reports in the Reports section.

Be sure to enter a complete and accurate street address for each waste site. The addresses you enter will be used to optimize your truck routes and only real, "mappable" addresses will work.

Tank Track's address validation process will compare the addresses you enter with the US Postal Serve address database. If there is a match (meaning a recognizable address), we will add the zip+4 zip code and the county to the address you entered.

Don't forget to click "SAVE CHANGES" when you're done!

Note: It doesn't matter if you are using a waste receiving facility or a land application location. Tank Track keeps track of the amount of waste deposited per "Waste Receiving Destination."
