Section 1: Select and Customize Tank/Waste Types
Common tank and waste types are prebuilt into the system, with the option to add, edit, or delete waste tanks.
Column Descriptions
Column | Description |
Waste/Tank Type | Specifies the name of the waste/tank type. |
Aeration System | If checked, indicates that the waste/tank type is an aeration system. |
Add Filter Fields | If checked, allows you to include the type of filter used with the waste/tank type. |
Waste Code | A one- or two-character code associated with the waste/tank type. |
Pump Frequency | If checked, allows you to enter a default pump frequency for the waste/tank type. |
Texas Reporting | For Texas subscribers, specifies the Texas Trip Ticket Reporting Category associated with the waste/tank type. |
Adding Waste/Tank Types

⌨️ Enter the waste/tank type.
— Aeration System
✅ Check the aeration system option if the waste/tank type is an aeration system.
— Add Filter Fields
✅ Check the filter fields option if the waste/tank type has a filter.
— Waste Code
⌨️ Enter the waste code.
ℹ️ The waste code is limited to two characters and must begin with a letter.
— Pump Frequency
✅ Check the pump frequency option if you want to assign a default pump frequency for the waste/tank type.
ℹ️ Default pump frequencies appear in Section 2: Select Default Pump Frequencies for each Tank Type.
— Texas Reporting
🔘 Select the Texas reporting category associated with the waste/tank type.
ℹ️ This column appears only for Texas subscribers.
Section 2: Select Default Pump Frequencies for each Tank Type
⌨️ Enter the default pump frequency for each waste/tank type that has the pump frequency option in Section 1 checked.
ℹ️ The default pump frequency interval period may consist of years, months, weeks, or days.
Section 3: Maintenance Tips
You may include maintenance tips for each type of waste/tank type you created in Section 1. These maintenance tips appear on your customer invoices and receipts.
✅ Check the "Click here to activate maintenance tips" option.
Choose Tips Style
🔘 Select whether the maintenance tips style should consist of:
a bulleted list;
a bulleted list with line breaks;
a paragraph; or
a paragraph with line breaks.
🎯 Many Tank Track subscribers select the "bulleted list with line breaks" option because that format is the easiest for customers, especially elderly customers, to read.
Three fields appear: the title field, the waste/tank type selection field, and the maintenance tips language field.

⌨️ Enter the title of the maintenance tips.
ℹ️ An example of a title is "Septic System Maintenance Tips."

🔘 Select each tank/waste type to which the maintenance tips apply.
ℹ️ Once a waste/tank type is applied to a set of maintenance tips, that waste/tank type cannot be used in other sets of maintenance tips.

⌨️ Enter the maintenance tips language you want to appear in the maintenance tips.
Section 4: Add "Tank Material" Field to Tank Section
Tank Track lets you record details of each tank on a property. This option allows you to include the tank material in those tank details.
✅ Check the "Click here to activate" option to record the tank material in the tank details section of a property.
Section 5: Add Phone Numbers to Waste Manifest
You may receive notifications when your customers sign estimates.
✅ Check the "Click here to display customer phone numbers on the online waste manifest page" option if you want to include your customer phone numbers on online waste manifests.
ℹ️ Even if the option is checked, your customer phone numbers will not appear on emailed or printed waste manifests.
Section 6: Land Application Activation
Tank Track provides extensive support for land application, including incorporation, injection, and surface application.
🔘 Select "Yes" if you apply waste material to farmland or forests; otherwise, select "No."
ℹ️ If you selected Yes, additional sections will prompt you to enter additional information about your land application process.
Section 7: Establishing Waste Site Locations (for Land Application)
✅ Select the "GPS Coordinates (Latitude and Longitude)" option to use GPS coordinates to identify the location of land application sites.
✅ Select the "Degrees, minutes, seconds (DMS)" option to use degrees, minutes, and seconds in the GPS coordinates.
✅ Select the "Decimal degrees (DD)" option to use decimal degrees in the GPS coordinates.
✅ Select the "Parcel #" option to use parcel numbers to identify the location of land application sites.
✅ Select the "Township/Range/Section" option to use townships, ranges, and sections to identify the location of land application sites.
Section 8: Land Application Methods (for Land Application)
✅ Select the "Incorporation" option if you use incorporation as a land application method.
✅ Select the "Injection" option if you use injection as a land application method.
✅ Select the "Surface Application" option if you use surface application as a land application method.
🔘 Select "Yes" is you are required to adjust pH for temperature; otherwise, select "No."
🔘 Select either "30 Min" or "2 Hours" for the minimum time between pH measurements.
✅ Select the "Quicklime (CaO)" option to use as a lime preference.
✅ Select the "Hydrated Lime (Ca(OH)2)" option to use as a lime preference.
Section 9: Land Application Certification Text (for Land Application)
You may include customized certification language required by state or local government agencies in your waste manifests documenting land application.

Section 10. Select Crop Types and Crop Codes (for Land Application)
