The Products and Services settings let you add and organize products and services you provide to your customers.

Section 1: Create Job Categories

You may create customized job categories to organize your products and services.

Adding Job Categories

⌨️ Enter the job category.

— Code

⌨️ Enter the job category code.

Section 2: Activate Regional Pricing

Tank Track allows you to automatically adjust the default prices of your products and services based on regions, which consist of one or more counties.

✅ Check the "Click here to activate regional pricing" option to specify price adjustments based on regions.

🛑 If you do not charge different prices based on regions, you may skip these settings.

Section 3: Add Products and Services

You may add as many products and services as you desire. Your products and services appear under each job category you created in Section 1.

Item Name

The name of the product/service.

Pump Job?

Whether the product/service is a pump job, a tank job, or both.

Job Code

The one- or two-character code associated with the product/service.

Tax Category

The tax category associated with the product/service.

Checklist

The checklist associated with the product/service.

Regional Pricing

Whether the product/service is subject to regional pricing.

Baseline Price

The default price of the product/service (before regional pricing adjustments).

Adding Products and Services

Up to seven fields appear, depending on whether you've activated Taxable Transactions (Section 7), Checklists (Section 11), and Regional Pricing (Section 9).

— Item Name Field

⌨️ Enter the name of the product/service.

ℹ️ An example of an item name is "Pump Septic Tank (1,000G)."

— Pump Job? Field

✅ Check the "Pump Job" option if the product/service involves pumping volume.

ℹ️ Examples of pump jobs include pumping septic tanks, grease traps, car wash pits, and the like.

— Tank Job? Field

✅ Check the "Tank Job" option if the product/service involves working on a tank.

ℹ️ Pump jobs, by default, are also classified as tank jobs.

ℹ️ Examples of tank jobs that do not involve pumping include cleaning filters, digging tank covers, and inspecting tanks.

— Job Code Field

⌨️ Enter the job code.

ℹ️ The job code is limited to two characters and must begin with a letter.

— Tax Category Field (if Taxable Transactions activated)

🔘 Select the applicable tax category, assuming Taxable Transactions (Section 7) is activated.

— Checklist Field (if Checklists activated)

🔘 Select the assigned checklist, if any, assuming Checklists (Section 11) is activated.

— Regional Pricing Field (if Regional Pricing activated)

✅ Check whether the product/service is subject to regional pricing, assuming Regional Pricing (Section 9) is activated.

— Baseline Price Field

⌨️ Enter the baseline — that is, the default — price of the product/service, before regional pricing adjustments.
